Synchronizing

Purpose - to synchronize to other devices such as tape recorders, as the slave or master.

The Synchronization dialog is divided into 3 main areas:

• Sync Input - when this is enabled this software can slave to another device. This can be via MIDI clock (tempo-based sync) or MIDI Time Code (time-based sync). When synchronized via MIDI Time Code the Song Start Time is required to locate this song relative to other songs on the master device.
• Sync Output - when this is enabled other devices can slave to this software either via MIDI clock or MIDI Time Code.
• Frame Type - when sync input is enabled with MIDI Time Code and auto frame detect is ticked, this software will set this value from the sync input. When sync output is used with MIDI Time Code ticked, this defines the output frame rate.
